Neighborhood Parks

Community parks come in all sizes and are an integral component of urban life. Philadelphia has more than 100 neighborhood parks, each reflecting the history and culture of its neighborhood. Philadelphia Green works in partnership with community groups and city government to keep the parks in peak condition.

Each year, hundreds of volunteers assemble at a designated park for a day of intensive renovation called Fall For Your Park. A new project is LOVE Your Park Day, when more than 2,000 volunteers engage in greening, cleaning, and celebrating at parks across the city for one spring day.

In return, parks provide family-friendly recreational opportunities that connect city residents to the natural world. Year-round Philadelphia Green helps coordinate a series of outstanding park events such as movie nights, farmers markets, and community pride celebrations.
